New Learning Platform Incoming
Important Announcement
Hello to all our Science Shepherd families! This is an important announcement for your video courses, so please carefully read through this entire information (and don’t hesitate to contact us if you have questions!).
Situation
All the videos for Science Shepherd classes are currently accessed through courses.scienceshepherd.com - our "old" learning platform - and we are in the process of changing to a new learning platform that is a part of our primary website at scienceshepherd.com/a/members.
For now, there is no immediate effect on how you access your video enrollment(s).
Once we are finished with the change-over, you will simply access your course videos via a different link/location on the Science Shepherd website. But there are important details that we would like you to know between now and June 26, 2026, the date when the “migration” will be complete.
Our goal is for this process to be as easy and least frustrating for you as possible, and that begins with making sure everyone knows what’s going on!
Save Your Records
Unfortunately course progress and completed material is not transferred from the old learning platform to the new learning platform. If you need any records of what courses or material have been completed on your account, be sure to download or print it prior to June 26, 2026.
General Process
Starting Monday, May 4, 2026 and over a 1-2 week period, we will begin transferring existing accounts and directing new purchases to our new learning platform. During that time, any existing course access you have will not be interrupted; you may continue accessing your existing courses on the old learning platform.
We will be transferring existing course enrollments, and directing new enrollments, to the new learning platform one course at a time. As a result, there may be a period during which not all of your existing enrollments are on the new learning platform, AND/OR some of your new enrollments are directed to the old platform. That is to be expected; all your enrollments should be accessible on the new platform by the end of that 1-2 week migration period. But be assured that you will always have access to all your courses during this time.
To help you navigate this process and understand where you should login to access your video course enrollments from now until June 26, 2026, we’ve provided several use-case examples of what to expect below.

Examples
– Current families who will complete their Science Shepherd video course(s) before June 26, 2026.
You can continue to use the old learning platform to complete your course(s) until June 26, 2026. After that date you will then use the new learning platform at scienceshepherd.com/a/members.
OR, once your course(s) is/are transferred, you may begin using the new learning platform right away to finish your course(s). However, please note that as part of this transition your course progress is not retained. All courses will revert to 0% completion after transfer to the new platform. We are sorry! There is just no way to avoid this. You will not need to rewatch all lesson videos, but can simply click "Complete & Continue", as needed.
– Current families who have ANY video course(s) not completed before June 26, 2026.
Continue accessing your course(s) as you presently access them. When we move your existing courses to the new learning platform, you will receive an email that says, “You are now enrolled in [Course Title]”. Please note: if you are enrolled in multiple courses, we'll only send a notification email for one course, so as not to flood your inbox.
At that point, all you need to do is login at scienceshepherd.com/a/members to begin accessing your courses on the new learning platform.
From the time your new account is made until June 26, 2026, you can access your video course(s) either “the old way” (by visiting courses.scienceshepherd.com) or on the new learning platform.
Again, please note that as part of this transition your course progress is not retained. All courses will revert to 0% completion once migrated to the new platform. You will not need to rewatch all lesson videos, but can simply click "Complete & Continue", as needed.
– Families who have newly-purchased Science Shepherd courses.
Once you complete your purchase, you’ll receive an email (“You are now enrolled in [Course Title]”) directing you to either the old learning platform or the new learning platform. If you are directed to the old learning platform, that enrollment will be transferred to the new platform within the 1-2 week migration period, at which time you will access all courses at scienceshepherd.com/a/members.
New Login Process
As part of our new learning platform, a typical password is not required to login. Instead, a login code is emailed to your account’s email address, which serves as a one-time password. To login to the new learning platform:
- Visit scienceshepherd.com/a/members.
- Enter the email address used to complete your purchase.
- Receive a login code to the email address entered in step 2.
- Enter the login code in the space provided on the login screen.
Result
Effective June 26, 2026, all Science Shepherd video courses and associated materials will be accessed on our new learning platform. The “old” link at courses.scienceshepherd.com will be replaced (and no longer accessible) with the new link at scienceshepherd.com/a/members.
